The top five ways to earn money through your business blog
Business blogs are the most economical and effective means of promotion of an online business; we have all heard about that. But it is not just promotion that a business blog can help you to do. If you have a business blog, you can use it for making supplementary income for your business. Here are the top five methods that people use to monetize their business blogs. It is time you learnt about them and began applying them in your own blog.
1. Using Google AdSense – Wherever you happen to read about making money out of business blogs, you are sure to read about Google AdSense. After all, it is the best (also the easiest perhaps?) way to make money out of your blog. Google’s AdSense is a method of affiliate marketing. You have to become a member of this service, and select the niches on which you want ads to place on your blog. Meeting those categories, Google will give you ads to place on your blog page. You have to select from the many choices Google AdSense will give you. When you have selected what you want, the ads will be placed on your blog page. Now, each time someone clicks on the ad and visits the website of the sponsor, you will be paid money through Google. Google has different paying norms for different blogs; it depends on the kind of ad that is placed, and also depends on the popularity of the website on which the ad is hosted. In this case, it is the popularity of your blog that will influence the payouts you will get from AdSense.
2. Host banner ads – Banner ads are those colorful ads you see on web pages that either run horizontally or vertically. Once your business blog is popular, websites will want to place their ads on your blog. These banner ads could be either pay per click ads, i.e. ads that would pay you whenever someone clicks on them and visits the website; or they could be pay per sale ads, i.e. ads that would pay you when someone clicks on them, visits the website and makes a purchase on it. Then there is one more way in which they can pay you, i.e. through a fixed rent per month or any other pre-decided period of time. It is understandable that you will get better banner ads and better incomes through them as your ad grows in popularity.
3. Selling your products – You may have a website for conducting your business, but you should underestimate the power of your blog in doubling as an ecommerce page for you. You can place here the products you have, and paste direct links that take people to your buying page. That way people will be able to buy your products without much ado. They will read about it on the blog page, and then directly get a chance to buy from it.
4. Selling an eBook – If you gather good enough material on your blog page, then you can very well consider compiling the information in all these posts to make an eBook. Of course, your eBook needs to be professionally written if you are planning to sell it on your blog. EBooks have a great demand over the Internet, and if reasonably priced, there is no reason why an informative eBook will not be sold over the Internet.
5. Adding a contribute button – If you are sure that your business aims at the betterment of the society in some manner, then you might very well consider adding a tip jar on your blog page. Give people the freedom to contribute whatever amount they like, and make collaboration with an online bank to receive the payments. This payment will not come in very fast, but it is certainly a way of getting some added income through your business blog.
